Well priced is what led me to them. They sent me evidence of their insurance when I asked if they were insured. (Not just a "yes, trust us"). "Conscientious service" is what will bring me back to them the next time I need an arborist.

These guys do excellent work! I was very impressed with their work ethics. At what was probably a considerable expense to them, they chose to postpone the work out of an abundance of caution. We had had a lot of rain and rather than take a chance on the crane getting stuck and tearing up the grass, they came back a week later. They arrived on time first thing in the morning. They got right to work and skillfully brought down our extremely tall elm trees. Not a branch came down out of place. They were impressive to watch!

I must join the chorus. Not only the better price between two bids, but it's really everything else. Prior to the job, communication was always prompt and to the point. The job today was really great, thinning and removing dead wood from 3 very large honey locusts. When they left, the site was cleaner than before they started. If this isn't enough, you should hire them just to see a $150,000 machine that I had never seen before.

Working with Roots Up was a very pleasant experience. They showed up on time, did the work quickly, cleaned up after themselves, and when the tight quarters necessitated a cherry-picker, they brought in the extra equipment without increasing the price. Highly recommended.

Our entire experience with Roots Up was outstanding! When I called to ask for an estimate as we had a tree down and several large limbs split/down from the snowstorm, the company followed up with me right away. Cole came that same day to give us an estimate (in another snowstorm) and was there right on time. He not only quoted us a very reasonable price, but he stayed for the next several hours while snow was falling and completed the entire job. He had another co-worker join him in the clean-up process. I have 3 large honey locust trees that were way overdue for a good pruning. Cole and Aidan came out right away, gave me a very reasonable estimate and got me scheduled quickly. In spite of the crazy early spring weather, Cole kept at it and did a fantastic job of getting these trees cleaned up and looking so much happier! He was very respectful of my garden beds and property and did a very thorough clean up! As a retired landscape designer I recognize good pruning practices and would highly recommend them.

I appreciated that they took the time to listen to my concerns , as I had never had trees pruned before. I had always done the pruning myself, and was causing more harm than good to my trees. They educated me on why you don’t just start hacking away at a tree branch. We used Roots Up to remove four large Aspen trees from around our house last September and we were very happy with their service. They were easy to schedule with and clearly cared about making sure we were satisfied with their service. Fast forward to last week, one of the few remaining Aspen trees we decided to keep fell onto our fence and neighbors house!! Still not sure what happened but the excessive snow and ice must have played a part. I called Roots Up right away. I could tell they were really busy with jobs, but Aidan still found time to get me an estimate and offered to come out a few days later to remove it. Because I was hoping to have it removed ASAP, he offered up a few more points of contact that may come out quicker, but either they were closed or unable to come out for weeks. I was so grateful for Aidan arranging everything so quickly (a few days wasn’t really that long to wait). He even scheduled the crane to come out to be sure not to damage the house (any more). Turns out the fence took most the weight, thankfully. Wish I could give them more than five stars. For helping me out in a bit of an emergency and clearly really caring, I’ll always call Roots Up first for any tree care needs. Hopefully not to clear any more trees off our neighbors house… of course.

Roots Tree Company – awesome!!! Aidan and his crew are very professional and easy to work with. The first time they pruned three trees and removed a crab apple tree. Excellent job pruning and cleaning up everything. The second time, Pat removed a tree trunk and also finished a job not completed properly by another company. Pat is super nice and made sure everything was to my liking. The third time, Pat fertilized four trees and provided advice on what type of tree to plant in the front yard where the crab apple tree was. Pat was very helpful.

Roots Up Tree Company did a great job both in giving us good advice and pruning and removing invasive trees. The owner is very knowledgeable and brought in an arborist who made a case for removing a silver maple that was failing and at risk of falling. They were punctual, communicated well during the process and not only cleaned up our property after the work was done, but also that of our neighbors where several cut limbs were brought down. I highly recommend them.

The forecast was calling for snow, 18" or more expected to start in the evening, and we knew we had an problem. We have a large Silver Maple with seven trunks that hadn't been trimmed in quite some time. Over the years, the tree had been growing out and up. We needed the tree to be trimmed before the storm to avoid causing damage to tree and to property. I started calling every tree trimming service in the area. Most went to a voice-mail and some just rang with no answer. Then, I got a hold of Aidan with Roots Up Tree Company and explained the situation. Aidan told me they would come out and get it taken care of before the storm. When Roots Up arrived, they assessed what was needed. They brought a lift to safely access the higher branches. Aidan and his crew did an amazing job getting down the deadfall and branches of concern before the storm. In addition, they trimmed the entire tree and provided us with valuable information about general care and maintenance of our tree. The tree looks amazing! The crew was very professional and knowledgeable, having multiple aborists to determine the placement of cuts, and ensure the future health of our tree. They cleaned up the area where the tree was going to fall, cut the tree, removed it, cleaned up after themselves, and Aidan asked for permission to removing other branches connected to the main tree. They won't remove anything without asking first, we're organized, and professional. They also removed a branch that they absolutely didn't need to do, but were kind enough to do it. Highly recommend Roots Up!! The arborists are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. They had to take down a damaged tree on my property but first made sure to explore all options to try to save it. We had a need for a fast removal of a dying tree. Cole and Aidan were able to step in and help us quickly. Clean up was great and every care was taken to protect the garage right next to the tree. We hired Jack and Aidan to thin and limb 8 acres in Allenspark, CO. The forest is mainly Douglas Fir and Ponderosa Pine with a few spruce and aspen fields. We found Jack and Aidan to be friendly and safe. We very much appreciated their respect for the forest and the environment! They ensured that as they downed trees they did not hurt the surrounding healthy trees.

Cole and his team trimmed two large trees on our property. They worked tirelessly all day, had all the proper gear and safety equipment to protect themselves and the property nearby (house, garage, cars, pedestrians, etc.). They double checked with us to make sure things were done to our satisfaction before calling the job complete, and they are going to come back in the spring to make sure everything turned out as planned... for free. Aidan and Luke spent a couple of hours, trimming and pruning an old ash tree, two large branches of which were broken and blown down. These two friendly gentlemen made fast work of the effort, hauling all related debris across the backyard to the chipper. Their performance was exemplary! One caveat, however, the cleanup around the chipper was a little less than desirable, but in fairness to them, much of the debris was on top of recent snow, so they were prevented from doing an adequate cleanup. Nonetheless, I would highly recommend them for any type of tree pruning! They were great, and the price was right! Thanks, guys!

It is a rare thing to encounter someone, let alone a company, that conducts business with humility and relational intelligence. I manage a few properties, and have also led a landscape/tree care company in the past. Being an arborist is no joke. I was privileged enough to work alongside Aidan for this project (elm removal and tree prune). I mention this because seeing the end product is one thing, but actually being a part of the process is something completely different. Aidan was very professional and honest about his business. I did some research and had Roots Up as my top choice, but their quote came in a tad higher than another quote. Aidan matched the competitive quote, provided excellent service, and performed the task in a short amount of time. We had a troublesome poplar tree and a dying spruce that needed removal. Aidan showed up in a heavy rain to give me a quote the same day I called. Within two weeks the trees were gone. We also wanted to prune of our crabapple trees and will use Roots Up in the winter to get that accomplished. I would recommend Roots Up Tree Company.

I needed a large cottonwood and several volunteer trees (that grew between two fences) removed, and three trees trimmed last spring. The crew was prompt, finished all the work that was possible to do, and did a good job cleaning up the yard when they were done. They advised against trimming my apple tree in the spring, but they came back, as promised, when the tree was dormant and finished the job. We had been looking for a tree care company to help trim back an overgrown cottonwood. We went through multiple companies and got astronomically high quotes. Roots Up came and were incredibly professional and knowledgeable. Unfortunately, we were not financially ready to move forward then and and asked them to follow up with us at a later date. We ultimately settled with a different company due to personal reasons. But still want to recognize Roots Up as a local reputable company. Gerard followed up right on time and was so professional about the situation. We 100% plan on using Roots Up for all of our future needs.

Aidan and his crew have helped us out on three occasions, cleaning up after fallen trees as well as complicated tree felling. He took down 7 very tall aspen in tight spots. A few weeks ago, a snowstorm broke several branches atop my beautiful backyard trees. On my way home, I spotted two arborists working on my neighbor's yard and asked them on the spot if they could help. They came right away and did an excellent job. If you are in need of an arborist, this is the place to go. Let me tell you why I say this. We had quite an extensive work on our acre property yesterday and Roots Up people knew what they were doing. They understand and 'love' trees. They took their time to trim and remove dead branches. They treated our ash trees and cleaned up the entire area very nicely. The best part of all this is they are very reasonably priced (I had 4 estimates) and use an amazing equipment called 'Spider Lift' which is not only lighter than a bucket truck - less damage to your yard but able to reach hard to get to places, 85 feet from ground level. Good job guys.

This small family business is awesome! We had an aspen fall down over the weekend, and even though they were closed, someone worked over text with me to get help scheduled quickly. They even took off a couple of wonky elderberry branches and helped me pick off the blossoms to make elderflower liquor. Would highly recommend!!
